How To Join

There are several ways to become an official part of the Holman Street Church family. At the end of each worship service or sanctuary activity an vocal invitation period will take place. At that time one can come forward for membership or special needs. Persons desiring to be contacted by a Holman Street Church representative can elect to complete one of the “Becoming A Member” information cards located in the Narthex. Another alternative is to contact one of the Holman Street deacons for more information about becoming an official member of our Church. You may contact the deacons of our Church by calling the main office at 713-741-8451.

Christian Church Membership
The Church is made up of God’s people chosen to do His work.
Exodus 19:5,6; Ephesians 4:16; I Peter 2:9, 10

Membership Requirements
Jesus requires one to have a new birth to become a part of His family. John 3:3,5

God’s Purpose for Membership
We can become involved in God’s work through Church membership. Romans 12:5

The Need For Membership
Through Church membership we identify publicly with the family of God and Bible pattern for His Church. Acts 2:41-47; Hebrews 10:23-25

Membership Provisions
God provides for Church membership through spiritual invitation for one to become a part of the unity of His body. I Corinthians 12:12, 18 Ephesians 4:4; Revelations 22:17

Response to Church Membership
One may become a member of a local Christian Church by repenting of your sins, professing of faith in Jesus Christ and being baptized. Matthew 3:13-17
